Submission Book

Worgan displays pertinent information at a glance about your projects, where they are at, and what they have achieved. You can see the total money made for a project, and where/whether it has been rejected

Setting it up

The first time you use Worgan you should setup the tabs across the top of the screen. These break the list of projects up so once you've accumulated a lot of stories the list of them is not too long. For example you might want to do something like Figure #1.

Figure 1: Submission Book Tabs

Here we see that there are separate pages for stories, articles, USOL (which is a fantasy world of mine), programming stuff, and one-shot submissions.

To set something like this up go to Options by clicking the button. Now you will see a standard focus list. Drag the name of a focus (like story) over to the tab position where it belongs. When you are satisfied click OK

Adding Events

Now that you've got your tabs chosen you can start submitting your work. Select a finished project in the list. Now press Add Event. Choose a market from the drop-down list. Choose a sending type and the date that you sent this project out. Under expenses you can enter the postage amount. Alternatively, you can go to the Finances form and just enter postal costs as a single bulk cost.

The list at the right lets you narrow/broaden the search of markets. Weak Matches appear when one foci in your project matches at least one foci in the market. Strong Matches require all foci to match. Selecting Meet Word Length will only display markets that accept stories of the word length of your story. If Hide Already Sent is chosen, markets that you've already sent this story to won't appear.

Editing Events

When a story/project returns you should update its submisson status. Choose a reply type (say accepted or rejected). Put down any money that you made from this project.

Deleting Events

Select an event and press this button to delete it. Be cautious about doing this command.

Misc

Click Event Notes to bring up a little text area. I normally cut/paste writing guidelines that I've obtained online into this area
