With this version of Worgan I wanted to give the user more control over the design of the notebook. After all the notebook is suppose to a personal think and I don't think it was fair of me to force everyone into using one of my own choosing.
I will say this here and probably elsewhere. Design your notebook once. Add pages if necessary but don't delete (the option is available but dangerous). If you are an owner of a previous version be very careful about modifying the existing notebook. Make sure that the conversion process has worked properly first (give yourself a couple weeks of playing with Worgan.
If you are a new user you should setup your notebook right away and then leave it alone. You can design the notebook yourself or use default page schemes (see table below).
To modify the notebook go to Utilities|Properties. You will see a replica of your notebook. To delete a page select the page and then press Delete Page. To use a page layout scheme press one of the buttons on the right.
To add pages DRAG a title (such as Project, Character, Biographer, Address, or Note) to the notebook. You may only have one Project page but you can have as many pages of the other types as you want (up to a total page count of ten). The Note page refers to what used to be known as Object, Plot, Scene, and Wisdom pages. You can use Note pages for anything now.
Click on the page that you want to modify. If you want to change the name, go to Page Title and enter a new name and then press the little button beside the name. This will confirm the change. Likewise you can change the directory where files are stored for this page and the filename (YOU SHOULD NOT CHANGE DIRECTORIES OR FILENAMES unless you know what you are doing).
Each page can also have its own focus file assigned to it. You should not change this unless you really need to (Worgan loses some of its power if you use too many different foci files). For example, you might want to change it if you use Worgan mostly for writing (and they all share a foci file) but you also have a page for schoolwork (then you might have a different foci for the schoolwork page). Address books should use their own foci (so you can sort people by job). See modifying lists (which focus files are) for more information. Press Restore Default to restore the default focus file for a particular page.
To confirm your changes press OK. Press Cancel if you want to discard your changes.
Occasionally you may not want to use a page anymore (say it is a class that you have finished, if you are using Worgan for school). In this case you can retire the page, which will put it into a WinZip archive. At a later time you can restore the page. Simply choose the page that you want to retire and press Retire Page.
Will 'move' the files by
1. Zipping the .dat file and all subdirectory files
2. Copying this zip file to main Worgan\ directory
3. Deleting original
!! Must restore on your own (contact me for expicit information on how to do this. The following is a rough example)
1. Find the zip file
2. Must remember what type it was (character, ...)
3. Create a new empty page
4. While still in properties go to Windows Explorer and extract files to proper place
5. make sure Filename and FileDir match up in Properites.
6. Click OK
You've succesffulyy reattached the page
