Destinations

Destinations are back after being removed from the previous couple versions. I got the idea for Destinations, from an article called Keeping 'em on the Street by Terri Hickman in the Writers Market List (downloadable resource at www.marketlist.com).

The Destinations are project-dependent. That is, each project will have one set of destinations available to it. Basically you select five Markets, where you are planning to send this story. When you click the Destinations button it brings up a blank dialog box.

You can drag markets from the market list (to maximum of five). The Destinations will sort these according to the amount of money the market pays AND to how long it takes them to respond. The best of both is displayed at the top. Double-click on a market name to submit this project to that market.

Using this feature allows you to plan for your project, as well as try to send it to the best possible market first. Of course, other criterion should come into play here as well. You could prefer sending all your sci-fi stories to a specific market first, not because they pay well or respond quickly, but because they give you useful comments on improving your story.
